About our association

Kalamassery Development Plot Industries Association was formed under various pressures from the society. The entrepreneurs were facing lot of trouble from the movement of local people like, “Manninte Makkal”, which demanded employment of the local people. Other reason was that the labour charges for loading and unloading was at extremely high rate. These circumstances forced the entrepreneurs to come together and form an association to protect their interests. Initially this association was christened as Kalamassery Major Industrial Estate Small Scale Industries Association, later changed to Kalamassery Development Plot Industries Association (KDPIA).

The present President is Mr.P.J. Mathew of Care Plast Industries and Secretary is Mr. O.A. Nizam of Industrial and Fine Chemicals.

Now association is having there own office, KDPIA Centre conference hall and workers canteen. We have monthly committee meetings to review various activities of the association and Industrial Estate.
